RAMDisk HELP

Hi how do i set up this so that all my program instillation uses this as temp ram disk while the program install on the cdrive.
And do you think 1gb should that be ok for ram disk?
I am on window 8.0.
I also do alot of 3d rendering and i have 8gb or the new Kingston furry memory.
Can some help set this up.

I also have a few codes for it, just google "ram disk" and you'll see you don't need a code to create one it's been a doable feature for years.

Are you sure I thought I had to buy this its amd ram disk are you saying I can get a it free can you explain how I can get it and how I can set it up so that when I install my program so that it does not install in memory but rather the ram disk how can I di this?
Also like the page file to be stored here also.

there's not much point with this if you only have 8GB of ram fella.

You only see a benefit for loading things from diskspace i.e loading maps in games really fast, etc. It doesn't really do an awful lot for 'real-world' apps yet because they utilize ram once they're loaded up.

You need to be making a 20gb kinda sized ramdisc to realistically install anything into and you need quite a bit more than 8gm to do it matey.

Also there are better, free options Lookup softperfect RAM Disk
