The card also looks like it comes with a fan for the vram as well and I'd imagine thats not quiet as well but yeah, I guess you're right if it is indeed a AIO cooled card.

Yeah you're right it is looking like there is a vram fan, but I can't see that working hard to keep it cool. Anyway let's hope AMD have worked on efficiency as much as Nvidia

Its a different process I think so it'll be less power hungry than the 290x or quite a bit faster for the same power draw. I'm not massively fussed about efficiency although I very much want this generation of cards to be competitive as the 7970/680 era was.

I'm just waiting for more info. I'm still running a 7950 that does more than what i need it to. Not to fussed about upgrading to either camp. I'll probably skip this gen. I'm more eager to whats after.

Running a 280x Matrix Platinum here and I'm loving the card. Playing on 1440p works fine on the new games that I enjoy playing, but after seing what the GTX970 and GTX980 can do I'm really ready for a upgrade. Been using amd since day one, that's really the only reason why I'm holding back on Nvidia...I just hope they release something great.

NFC (Not from Concentrate) is a PC case/system manufacturer. Sapphire are going to be building systems with them.
