This! I watched the livestream and they showed a 9900k vs the 3900x livestreaming and it was chalk and cheese the 3900x smashed the 9900k in deliverable quality to the person watching and was smooth for the gamer tooIt's a great gaming CPU.
You can stream and high quality and game without a massive loss in fps. You still lose quite a bit of performance even with 8 core Ryzen or even the 8700k. The 8 core i9 stuff wouldn't be different.
More cores and threads just let's a better playing experience while streaming which many people do.
Yup I figured they were going to create a new price bracket.
And, I was only off 50 cents on the price.
Can you tell I did marketing for 2.5 years? Including all if the bummy compulsory seminars?
Though assuming AMD VCE is improved in the new 5000 series to match Nvidia's, it's near pointless to use CPU for streaming.
Oh man. I mean I understand why they don't. But I'd have loved to have seen an 8-core @ 4.7. I;d be all over that
What makes you think the new 8 cores won't do 4.7? If my 2700X can do 4.35 on all 8 cores, it's not much of a stretch to assume the new 8 cores will be better.
Ghz is irrelevant if its beating the competition and is 1/2 the price.Oh man. I mean I understand why they don't. But I'd have loved to have seen an 8-core @ 4.7. I;d be all over that
