AMD never settle reloaded, added Far cry 3

Like what? I know there is side missions and such but I personally just played to campaign like an fps, blowing up anything I saw, maybe you don't like it, but you just can't deny that Far Cry 3 is a spectacular game

Yeah, I can deny it dude. Firstly there's the radio towers. Going around doing pointless crap gets tedious. It's just like the diamonds crap in FC2.

Then there's the crafting that's been added which IMO totally detracts from the game. It continually makes you stop what you're doing and have to piss around finding animals to hunt so you can take their skins just to carry more stuff.

Whilst I like it when new stuff is introduced into games to make them better I do argue that adding stuff from World Of Warcraft does not add to the game.

In essence Far Cry 3 is a FPS. However when you start adding in side quests that are completely boring and yawnsome (like finding the same radio towers the game over) it starts to grate and detract from the game.

Then there's the crafting and levelling up on the crafting which work in games such as Fallout 3 as the ways of doing it are far more diverse and interesting. However in Far Cry 3 it's just the same thing repeated over and over and over.

It's not just me who felt this way about it tbh. A few reviewers picked it out and pointed out that they had actually stopped playing it because the game continually dragged them away from the stunning visual feast in order to partake in boring side quests and rubbish.

There you go, that pretty much explains it all. In the original Far Cry what you saw was what you got. You could work your way around the island in pretty much any order you liked and exploring was encouraged. Far Cry 3 manages to keep annoyingly stopping you in your tracks and forcing you to partake in a load of insipid nonsense.

This game definitely seems to have completely split the gaming audience so if you enjoyed it then fair play to you :)

I think I see the problem, you are expecting a corridor shooter like Cod or Battlefield, sorry to say but Far Cry just isn't that, its an open world game

Ah but that's the thing. It isn't. It constantly makes you stop to do crap boring things instead of letting the action flow.

Still as I say it comes down to what you expect. If you like the additions they've made then you're in for a treat.

I'm much more of a Half Life 2 type FPS fan myself. Additions like physics and so on add to it, buggering around climbing towers and making inventory items detracts..

Just opinion though :)

It's open world.. How can you say theirs a bunch of stupid crap? You're suppose to do whatever you please o_O

So why is it if you accept a 'quest' and start wandering it immediately scorns you and demands that you either pay attention to the quest or it will end it?

As for Battlefield? it's worse.. GET BACK TO THE AREA. That crap drives me nuts. Don't show me things I can't go to.

I like the battlefield model 9001 times more than something like cod :D There are just invisible walls and shit everywhere..

We need more games like FC3, it does so much more than the usual FPS.

CoD and the likes are made up mostly of set pieces and linear gameplay. Far Cry 3 is open world with loads to see and do, multiple ways of doing them and the ability to do things at your own pace, when and if you want to do them.

The reason Far Cry 3 makes you stick to a certain area and not let you go outside it when doing certain missions is to keep you on track. It also stops you going to other areas that haven't been explored, and/or are being held back as not to spoil parts of the story.
For the most part you can go where you like, your average FPS doesn't do this and just funnels you through one room, street or whatever to the next objective or set piece.

I'm really impressed by the DLC support as we'll.

All the minor map packs you see on COD and pay $15 bucks for are free..

The only thing you'll be paying for is the game itself and an actual proper DLC which is a game within itself.
