Sup peeps,

Went to a AMD Heaven GamExperience event in London today, the one Tom mentioned in his subscriber video no.6

Saw Tom filming while queuing up and waved at the camera

and also had a few words with him when he was setting up the AMD rigs with logitech steering wheels. It was a pretty good event, i got two games, Deus Ex Human Revolution and Total War Shogun 2. Would have also got CS: Global Offensive code but it wasn't thrown at the part of the crowd where i was standing.

All attendees were given a piece of paper with 6 names of the stands that were there, like Asus, XFX, Steelseries, Sapphire, 3D gaming and overclocking.

We had to ge the 6 names signed at each of the stands and then put them in to a box. Prizes were given away through out the event such as 7970's, 7950's, gaming headsets, steelseries mouse, Asus Crosshair V etc.

I thought it would be awesome to win something. At 3pm, the main draw took places where there was a large prize bundle for a lucky person to win. They said my first name but i wasn't sure if it was me as the noise was too much, so they said it again and im like that's me, with the help of the audience, a path was created for me leading to the stage where I went, still shocked that I won and collected my prizes.

This is what i came home with:

Antec P280 case

SteelSeries Kinzu V2 mouse

Buffalo 4TB Network HDD

Antec 3x cleaning

Gigabyte E35ON mini-itx motherboard

Steelseries Siberia Gaming Pro headset

Got back home tired so tomorrow im looking forward to playing around with this gear

Congrats dude. Nice haul there.

I didn't stay that long as I thought the event was pretty poor. It was nice for them to be giving away freebies, but the signature slip idea was just rubbish (the guys at the stand spent too much time signing off the paper than giving demos, etc). Would have been much nicer if they had more demo/tech on show.

Still free entry and got a couple of free drinks so can't really bitch (though spent an hour or so waiting outside)

PS I noticed the Deus Ex voucher has expired already though I've not tried to redemm it yet. Not so sure about the Shogun 2 one though.

Thanks mate, yeah i agree the 6 signatures did take time which meant less time on playing games, i haven't tried both vouchers, hopefully they work. But three free drinks and entry was good

both vouchers worked for me, the printed date for expiry doesn't seem to matter

Great to put some faces to names, an enjoyable jolly day out although I didn't join in the clambering and "gimme a freebie" fest.

Congrats on your prizes, what are you plans for the kit? I preferred the SteelSeries 4H to the Siberia, but testing them at the stand was tricky due to the ambient noise of the event.

Does anyone know which keyboards and mice were in use on the rigs that were setup. There was one mouse that was really heavy in the hand, loved that - and the keyboards in use on the rigs by the overclocking stand were nice, but I would have to kill or filter the white leds for caps lock etc.

DT.

still doesn't work for me

I would have loved to get a CS: Global Offensive key but was unlucky, too much pushing n shoving. I haven't tested the Siberia yet at home yet, although hat the event both headsets did seem to sound the same, but like you said it could be due to the ambient noise of the event.

The keyboards they were using on the eyefinity setups near the overclocking stand were the steelseries 6GV2 i think, when playing dirt 3, i managed to to get the up arrow stuck, ssssshhhh we can keep that on the low low

.

The mice were the steelseries sensei, not sure on that also. As for the kit, mostly likely build a server with the mini itx amd board or upgrade my dad's pc with the new case. Going to un-box em all today

Deus Ex game works now, didn't look at instructions properly
