AMD Hawaii

Got me wondering if toms words about the 780, is a sly nudge at saying the 290x aint up to scratch

I think it's more to do with the fact Nvidia has to lower their prices to compete. Like I said earlier, 290x is £450 (I'm 99% sure)

that looks the dogs nads!!! i want this one!

As long as AMD can make money to stay in business, I personally will not care if it's slower or faster than a 780. Only thing is price needs to be well enough to do this. Reason behind my thinking is we all do not want a monopoly in the GPU segment.

Is that for a 290x? If so then a 290 should be pretty darn cheap!

Now Nvidia needs to do some price dropping!

Tom's review is up on the tubes! god he is a such a legend, but any how, my 290X transaction is complete, im assuming Tripp will have his done soon, im going back to bed, its 5:06am i only finished work 3 and half hours ago.

Well tom, you gotta know that nobody likes to be critiziced for their work. There are many examples, but I'll pick this one: DMCA strike against a Totalbiscuit video for his "WTF is?... Day One Garrys Incident" video, where he voiced his opinion that this game is bad and people shouldn't buy it. I am aware that making video games and manufacturing hardware are totally different things, my point is that people are proud of their creations and get very offended when being harshly critized.

Of course AMD would cut their own flesh if they would cut you off, seeing as you are honest in your reviews, as far as I can tell, and when AMD releases something good, they might not benefit from you "praising" the quality of a good product, to your rather large audience. (Apologies for my bad wording, english is not my native language and I didn't find a suitable alternative for the word "praising" that would have fit what I meant to say)

The Total Biscuit's video about Garry's Incident isn't a fair example, their developers are turning out to be a properly dishonest bunch of, quite frankly, con-men... They falsified a lot of their kickstarter campaign (i.e. funded it themselves!!) and are basically on a mission to censor anything bad said about a game which shouldn't have been released yet.
