AMD and NVIDIA together at last

actually, the Asus M4N82 Deluxe was(is) an AMD2+ board with SLI. and there are many others

yeah - bulldozer

the chipsets will support both crossfirex and sli on ONE chip

i have known this for a while. not big news to me

its another sign of nvidia pulling out of the mobo market, license their ip out and make money for nothing on mobo sales while working only on the gpu and small form factor / mobile stuff.

sad news really

I find this a bit of an odd move for both AMD and nVidia if I'm honest, Surely nVidia will make more money by producing their own chipsets.

Its money for nothing now smifis mate, no rd costs or licensing fees to pay Intel or amd and no hassle just money coming in for every board that sells with their sli sticker on it.

Makes a lot of sense really given the hassle they have had past few years in the mobo game.

you can use sli on the crosshair extream allready, because of the Lucid chip, you can also run AMD and Nvidia cards togeather

And i used to run 2 8800 gts in sli, on my crosshair 1 when it first came out. But i think that might have been an nvidia chipset on the original crosshairs. cant remember that far back.
