See the problem i have is, i manage 3.8Ghz at 1.412v... but cant get 3.9Ghz at 1.5v :S. Am i doing something wrong do you think?

u can push up to 1.55v on the v core but no more then u can probably hit 4ghz +... I got my x4 965 @ 4.2.. as long as your temps r below 65c u can go up to 1.55v

As others have said, AMD chips like cool temps rather than high volts.

The chips also seem to have a point after which the amount of speed you gain compared to the voltage needed takes a huuuuge dive. Once you've reached that you've pretty much reached the limit of your chip. Even getting a better cooler at that point is no guarantee that it's going to overclock much higher.

My old 965 would not overclock past 3.8GHz, and even then it was not 100% stable, so you're not alone.

Maybe, maybe not. It could just be the limits of your CPU. Try limiting the chip to 2 cores in the bios. I did the same a while back to reduce the TDP and try an overclock again. It's either heat related or the something is wrong with the O/C.

Let us know how you get on...
