Sometimes Amazon's Best Sellers show up very interesting stuff.
One of the things that's quite interesting at the minute is that the AMD Sempron 145 is #5 in the US. This is despite it being about as low end a CPU as you can get, not to mention it's very long in the tooth at this stage. Although it's very cheap, so cheap, it's a wonder AMD can sell them for that price given the production costs and actually make money.

The reason it seems is that people are buying really cheap CPUs and motherboards for mining Cryptocurrency at the minute, it doesn't get any cheaper that that Sempron and a motherboard like a 990FX/970 board in order to load it up with GPUs like the 7990 for a mining rig. For a mining rig you don't really care about anything other than the GPUs.
The UK Amazon then has the FX-6300 as the best selling CPU at the moment.
