I have also used my old advent laptop box and mounted a fan on the back left corner as a cheap laptop cooler. Worked a treat

Its not the first time. I used to be pretty big into car audio and a guy came on a forum asking for advice to get his sub to sound better because it just wasnt "hitting" good. After a bunch of questions from us trying to figure it out one of us noticed he had the word "cardboard" when talking about the enclosure. Yes he build a sub box out of a cardboard box!!! He wanted to port it so he cut a hole in the box for the port......and even labeled it!
