I never found either confusing tbh. I've used controller since I was super young. Barely PC gamed before I turned around 14. Ever since then it's been a mix of both. I miss those days though.. super cheap computer hardly working playing Total Annihilation Kingdoms. Played it for a long time but not often. My father would always be playing. So I got stuck with the PS2

Maybe it's a lefty thing? Either way, it's solely on me

Bro, I'm right there with you about game pad controllers. But if you really enjoy a decent space flight sim, you're doing YOURSELF an injustice by NOT considering a HOTAS. It's a game changer for a game like ED. Yeah you'll ONLY use it for a game or 2, but the immersion factor is awesome. Throw in a VR headset, and ED becomes a truly EPIC gaming experience.

I can definitely agree on that, ED with my Logitech X56 *basically just a newer version of the X52*, An Oculus Rift, Headphones hooked up to a good AMP/DAC/Soundcard, the experience is truly amazing.

totally agree. I only have a Rift because it was a gift, but with ED and customised hud colour. holy moly I love it.

I'm going to start from scratch actually. One of those "do it again but do it better" moments.

I'm currently taking a break from ED, While it can be fun it needs proper content, Not the lacklustre stuff the devs keep putting in.
