It does have 50% more cuda cores then a 1080 so it would have required much more then a 2nm lithography shrink to get it smaller then the 14nm 1080 die. If it was a 7nm product then it probably would be a smaller die but the fabs are having issues with getting 7nm out the door.

If we had more than just Metro I would be a smidgen excited. But given it will be every bit as good without RT then I am just all like "meh".

I am sorted for now as with the 1080ti I am ok gaming at 3440 x 1440 or 2k 144hz with Gsync.
I will probably skipp this generation OR pick up a 1180ti as the 1180 seems too little jump for me.
A new GPU needs to run 4k at 144hz OR 3440 x 1440 @144hz for me to make a change. Untill then there are no games that makes me want to replace the 1080ti.
What I DO want though is a possible 1160 ITX card for a secondary pc with the 8400.
