Alienware now has QX9770

I suppose if people are buying their products at the prices they charge, why change? These systems must sell otherwise they wouldn't be selling them at that price.

But when you can get an overclocked Q6600 gaming system with an X2 for under £1k, it does make you wonder why you might buy a system like this.

haha, who would buy a computer with a midrange card, a relatively small HDD and a high powered processor without even OCing it. you hardly need to do a 5 minute google search to find a better PC for a better price :p

Do alienware appreciate the fact that computers shouldn't cost the world anymore?

Afraid not. :(

Alienware have always been the same, the only people who actually buy them are people who..

1. Have no time to build one of their own,

2. Are computer illiterate and for some reason think that just because they're the most expensive brand of computers, they're the best or

3. Like the cases/design.

It's the case, even though you can get a lookalike alienware case from PC world for about £40 lol (probably cheaper, but this is PC world)

I'm amazed at the specs though, a 9600GT and a 250GB HDD?! From Alienware wouldn't you suspect a alien computer. 2x4870x2, 8GB ram, skulltrail.
