Alienware M11X - probably the weirdest idea ever

The Alienware M11x is Alienware's new gaming Netbook.

You read that right. Netbook.

11" big it can supposedly play games decently.

Anyone think this is crazy? I can't think of anyone that would use this. I also wonder what the battery life of this thing is?

wouldnt pay for it in a million years......but i guess it spouts out a hole new generation

rumered @ 1000 dollars around £600? hmmm for alienware thats a good price but meh it just doesnt do it for me!

lastly the nvidia chip is suppose to have around 70 sps? pritty high to say the least!

After browsing the interwebs more I had found out that it would cost roughly $799 for the base model.

GT335M gpu, 6 hours standard batt. life and 2 hours gaming batt. life.

I second that! and the "over 2 hours" of batter life in gaming mode? Would rather spend my money on a DS Lite.

i was thinking that last summer when i was going to get a laptop for when i go on holiday/trips, still happy with my ds now

As to if i was going to buy it, i probably would if i needed a small laptop, but as i dont then probably not.

If my situation changed and i had to catch the train to work every day i probably would stretch for one to keep me busy tbh.

A bit of an odd one that, Im kinda intrested in it and would probably be impressed if I had a go, but doubt I'd be buing one. Like others have said, Id just go for a DS or PSP for gaming on the go lol, then get a cheapo netbook if I needed to do a bit of office work as well
