I installed this plugin for FF so i could help the forums i go to raise their rank. Does it help you guys any?

Yeah it's much appreciated mate. If anybody else fancies putting it on their firefox/IE we wouldn't say no to that either :p

Nice lads. Just remember to turn it off when you visit any competitors sites... MUHAHAH MUHHAHAHAHA MWAHAHAHA.

*ahem*

I didn't say that :p

So the more people who use it that visit your site the higher your rank is. A higher web rank makes your website look more active and may help in acquiring other services, which depend on a certain Alexa rank.

Lol I think you're looking far to much into this guys. No companies give a cr@p about Alexa rankings because it's so inaccurate. If you need visitors to have the Alexa bar installed for it to register your visits to the site, then the results are going to count for about 1% of the real stats.

On the other forums i go to they are telling the admin that he needs a higher Alexa ranking before they give him better reviewing samples.

Yes, I'm part of that same forum. Apparently it's not just that company either. A number of companies seem to do it, as strange as that may sound.
