before anyone start with dont waste your money with an aio loop #
i want to upgrade from my stock cooler on a stock 3570k, dont care if you say its a bad idea bla bla bla.

right to the point
i want to upgrade and people are saying h80i, h60-h75, cm seidon 120v/m, zalman lq320

i dont really want to spend houndreds on getting one which a slightly cheaper one can do the same, and if the stock fans are crap and what fans to replace with

I use a Cooler Master Seidon 120m with the stock Blademaster fans and it's been perfect for me even with a 4.01Ghz Overclocked Fx-4100.

I had this rad & it had a faulty pump, oh my god that was noisy as hell.

Performance is quite good tho, but i suggest you go for a H80i.

So you came to ask which AIO to get, Wraightguard recommended one, then you told him to replace his with an H80i?

If you are convinced the H80i is better, why are you even asking? :huh: If a product isn't working correctly, you RMA it. It's silly to assume every unit is bad because a few have had bad experiences. There will have been broken H80s too.

You are referring to a one off video and letting that rule your decision. As Edge said if you get a faulty item you RMA it, don't be put off a product just because you saw a couple of bad reviews or videos on it.

Think of it like this, Coolermaster probably sell 50,000 units and 10 or so get a bad write up or video on youtube does that make it a bad product NO just a few unlucky people who rather than RMA it complain instead, there is always going to be a slightly imperfect product out of a large batch but they are few and far between also manufacturers will always replace faulty products quite happily.

I really don't understand what you are trying to gain by purchasing an AIO and I don't think anybody can give you any sensible advice until you concisely explain that.

You must seek either thermal headroom for overclocking, reduced noise levels or just something better looking than a stock cooler.

If your not interested in any of those things ie. you want to run your processor at stock without an overclock, it's already quiet enough and you never look inside your case then there is no point in getting an AIO or any other aftermarket cooler. All it will do is make your wallet lighter :huh:

To be fair, the stock intel cooler is quite noisy and never sticks to the same rpm on load so that can be quite annoying.

TBH, i would suggest a coolermaster Hyper Evo 212 air cooler, they are cheap, easy to mount, easy to clean and pretty silent. Yes it isnt an AIO but since you havent mentioned anything about why you should get an aftermarket cooler but obviously want something else, why not give that evo a go?

I actually prefer the AIO for it's lower noise and superior cooling especially with an Overclocked CPU, plus they look miles better through the window than a hideous lump of alloy with a fan bolted to the side or top but that's my personal aesthetic choice and will never go back to air coolers not even for stock CPUs.

The main argument here is the ever present bad press with stories/videos which get shared more than they really should but you should never base your choice on other peoples misfortune. I refer people to the Our Rules & Tips thread - If you like it, buy it & Research, research, reaserch.

Thats the seidon 120v. The seidon 120m is a different cooler. It does the job fine.
Also the sedidon 120v is basically half the price of any other liquid cooler. Make of that what you will.

I quite like seidons, although they can have noisier pumps. Just go for the one you like the look of out of the ones you suggested. They're all within a few degrees of eachother, especially since you're running a stock clock.

Gonna be honest, you sound pretty arrogant and a little bit of a dick.
You can't ask for peoples help to not only ignore the advice (and suggest something different to them) but then respond with a bad attitude.
That is not the way to go when asking for help.
That aside, knowing what case you had would be helpful regarding whether you can fit a 140mm, 240mm or a 280mm aio solution.

My 2 cents, AIO are great devices. They perform fantastically and can be VERY quiet if you get a good quiet RADIATOR fan, something with a high static pressure. I just got an H90 for my micro ATX build because I had a 140mm exhaust. It is INSANE quiet. My HDD is louder than the cooler and my 3570k at stock idles at 26c and load at 65c, but I am also using the stock fan (which sucks) and I have it set to 600RPM. I just ordered a new 140mm PWM fan that is quieter and has almost triple the static pressure so I will expect 58c MAX when it comes in.

My only complaint is the installation brackets are cheap crap. Wish these manufacturers would put a good quality bracket on them.

might help if i knew the model as im not planning on buying the first one i want a bit of research before i decide
