Affinity managers?

Hey guys,

Do the FAH_Core affinity changers still have any performance boosting effect on the v7 client? I remember on v6, both Windows (Nick4eva Affinity Changer) and Linux (Kraken Affinity Changer) gave massive PPD boosts by better managing the cores and processes.

Do any of you guys use these or have any experience?

I haven't touched them since I started using v7 although I only run 1 cpu client now as the PPD on my i7 920 and 930 weren't worth the electricity.

I don't pay much attention to SMP, just let it run on machines that are worth running it on.

All of my attention is on GPU, my 560TI 448's do 35 to 38K each on good WUs which is maybe what a 970 will get. So 1 low end card = 1 upper end CPU

That's kind of the way it is ATM.....

Gotcha. On that note, what are the best nVidia drivers atm as I've read a few things about the newer ones causing issues (and you mentioned the new core, Steve) ?

I think that 327.23 are the latest drivers that don't take a PPD hit.

Points are supposed to be normal with the latest drivers if you are running the 0.0.55 core

Is there any chance I could get you to upload the latest core for me? I can't seem to get it to download but I could drop it in and use it instead.
