Hy everyone... I need some advice regarding if i upgrate to the 1080 or maybe stay till 1080ti will be released. At this point i am owning a sli of G1 gaming 980ti . Recently i have got the asus rog monitor PG348Q wich change my way to think about highter resolutions of 1080 ...lol.
So basically the sli i have it from last week(before i had got only 1 card..second was a present). So w/o overclock the 1st card sometimes go to 81 C in Division 3440x1440 ultra etc. Sometimes i get the driver recover message (thats is happening from the last nvidia update).

I was watch a lot of discussions and people tend to say that a single card is better then a sli...but also have some good str8 points.

Any advice will be highly appreciate .

If you have a 980ti SLI setup, then my opinion would be to not upgrade. Going to dual 1080's would yield slightly better results but certainly not worth the asking price. Be better off waiting till 1080ti releases and or looking at Vega 10/11. Those are the big boys you'd want.

If you are having driver problems, then completely remove the existing ones, and do a fresh install of the latest ones as your first step

Indeed as nbd said, there's no need to upgrade at all when you are running 980ti sli at the moment. Another option would be to look for a watercooling solution if you want lower temps, this also gives you some more oc potential ;)

If your driver is erroring then take the overclock off of the card

If you have 980 Ti SLI then its a waste of money to get 1080 SLI

1080ti not coming until next August.

Personally if I were running SLi in this day and age I would get rid of it. So personally I would sell off the 980tis and buy one 1080.

Thanks for the advice and thanks Tom for doping by.
Well the water cooling thing...it will cost me heavy to do that so i think i will wait the 1080Ti and then think if i jump.
As for driver failing..well Tom the cards arent overcloked in any way.
