Advice wanted on how to modify existing loop?

Basically I'll be installing a new waterblock on the cpu. Got an Apogee XT on its way and was wondering how you guys would recommend taking it apart and reinstalling and leak testing it all. This time there could be residual water in the look so I'm not too sure that installing the block dry on the board and then plugging the tubing on will be safe. Maybe I should guesstimate the lengths, as its only a cpu loop cooling system, and leak test it in an empty case and then install the motherboard. What do you think?

Thank you.

Only one safe way to do it tbh dude and thats drain the whole loop and use fresh hose on the cpu block. I normally leak test with the 24pin power bridged, so no componants other than molex(pump) are actualy connected/being powered.

If you are carefull and do it with the power off you dont have to remove the mobo tbh

My plan

So you think I can reuse thebackplate of the fuzion v2 onto the Apogee XT? My plan is to removethe motherboard, install the xt backplate, drape the board so water does not fall on it, swap blocks, leak test, remove the curtain, install the block, and that's it. Am I making it too complicated?

Thanks!
