Advice on case and ram

Hi,

I have a run of the mill i7 system and I'm looking to hook my self up with a nice powerful system.

I am looking at getting the following:

i7 3930k CPU

Asus rampage iv extreme mobo

Corsair AX1200 PSU

Corsair H100 cooler

2 x Crucial 256GB M4 SSD's

But I can't decide on a case or which RAM to go for? Is there a case that hase the versatility of the obsidian 800 but a bit smaller and will still take the dual radiator of the H100?

I'd like to stay future proof for doing a full water cooled solution in the future.

Any thoughts or advice would be greatly received.

yes, as you could use a ax750 but to be on the safe side you should use a ax850

Yes the rampage fits in the Corsair Obsidian 650D but it will go over the grommets slightly but thankfully doesn't make the cable management pointless.

you always look to have the psu run between 50% and 90% so you get the max efficiency how ever the noise does go up at about 600w and with the setup you look to be useing you'll only be useing about 550w

Got any ideas on ram and how much to have? Thinking either the corsair vengeance quad chanel or reading up on mushkin so would consider that too.

i would only go for 8 gb at 1600mhz for gameing or if you are looking to do overclocking then go higher i.e 32/64gb let say 2333 mhz and corsair or mushkin are very good ram imo

oh and always get one ssd at 512 before going with 2 in raid 0 keep the trim command m4 are also good ssd

my advice,Case: NZXT 810 Switch, in whatever colour you want. PSU: Corsair AX850 with some braided cables. and some Corsair Dominator 1866Mhz 16GB Quad channel

I knew what trim was but I didn't realise it wasn't supported in RAID (learn something new every day!)

So I assume that a single SSD suitable for running games at optimal speed then?

i would say so yes and you get more relibity with a single ssd with trim and it dosen't make much diffrents to game play,

with raid 0 you get more speed but might have problems with your os and the speed dose drop off over time
