Advice on airflow and loop,

Hello, i am new to water cooling, this will be my first water cooling build.
i am seeking for an advice, how would it be better to position the fans to cool down the radiators.
Here are 2 examples that i am considering.

i think the 1st one would be better, but i want to hear what you guys think.

Also please give me feedback on the loop.

and considering the cpu and Gpus will be overclocked. (GTX660 to gtx770 clocks)
Cpu - 4.4Ghz.

What temperatures should i roughly be getting?

Thank you.

Images dont work like that mate. You need to use photo bucket or imageshack

Even without the pictures no one can answer your question. Theres just far too many variables and youve not given anywhere near enough information.

Basically if its the same kit rad position etc will make minimal difference.

Sorry , did not really know how much information is needed.

Motherboard Asus Sabertooth z77.

GTX680 Clocked @(1059 / 1753)
I7-3770k 4.7 GHz (1.355v)

1/2" Tubing.
MCP655 pump(full speed).
Not sure what coolant Yet (does non conductive liquid make a lot of difference*temperature wise?).

Sp120,AF120 ~ 1000-1400RPM
Res - ~440ml.

30mm rad wont fit outside with the grill on

Temps can not be predicted either dude but with that much rad space you wont need to worry. You could cool that easily on a 60mm thick 360 on its own with low fans.

Your spec is a touch overkill tbh.

If you've got the 360 monsta in the front, you might as well just save yourself the effort and put a 240mm rad in the roof.

The ST30 360 in the roof would involve modding as I'm sure you're aware, and you'll have enough headroom with just the 240 anyway really.

From the two you've said, I'd go for the first option, but with the rear exhaust flipped as an intake with a dust filter on it.

There are a lot of Build-logs, where people do fit 30mm rad in the top, after a bit of cutting(with the mesh on) spacing is exactly 30mm.

i do realize it is an overkill, but i wont to keep it silent( i guess i can go lower that 1000RPM).

TBH, "Orca" build inspired me to put that 360 monsta there.
since i got it quite cheap might aswell keep it.

And overkill or not, this will always allow me to upgrade to whatever i might think of and Overclock even more.

Is the PC in a dusty environment? If so, you should consider a positive pressure setup, more intake than exhaust. You could just flip the rear fan to intake in your first pic. Like the others said, you've got so much rad that it really won't make that much of a difference for temps, but a PP setup will help keep the dust out a little better.

picture 1 setup is the better, i agree that the rear could be flipped for an intake instead, thats probably the way i would go

Thank you everyone.
I have More Questions..

1.I am not planning to modify the front of the case (apart from removing the CD-Drive Cage)
But since the case was not designed to have 3x120mm fans in the front,
i am not sure if not cutting the case will restrict the airflow..

Blue - 360 Rad.
Green - Corsair SP120 fans.
In red Boxes - Metal pieces that i am unsure if i need to remove =?
Do i really need to cut those parts?

2.Will a Push Configuration be enough for the "Alphacool nexxxos monsta 360 Rad" 83mm Thick ?

I can't answer #1 since I'm not a modder and have no skills. :) But for #2, 3 fans are indeed good enough for that rad (I have 2 of those). However, I will go against the crowd here and risk the ire of Tom himself when I say those Corsair fans suck. :) Corsair fans are generally garbage. They look nice, but are AWFUL performers in any system that doesn't have excess rad space. I'd never use those fans (especially the quiet editions) in a system that didn't have rad overkill.

This is only my opinion, and I'm in the minority on this one it seems, but I'd dump the SPs in favor of Gentle Typhoons.

looked at Gentle Typhoons AP-15, now i want to sell the sp120..fans..

37.85 CFM/23 dBA VS 50.02911 CFM/21 dBA Same rpm. and on ebay the price is quite the same..

tho if my calculations are right , then sp120 (1850rpm) VS AP-15(1850rpm)
the difference should be About ~8CFM, should be ~same noise level.

The price should not make a lot of difference if u are buying a couple , but i will need 6 of them at least. If my calculations are right then its best of to go with Corsair fans.

1xsp120 = 10Pounds.
1xGT = 15.

(i am talking about Ap-15 Specifically)
