Hello

I'm thinking on bying watercooling for my rig, the case i will be using is a R3 from fractal design, and since im not running anny harddrives there will be plentnty of room in the front if i remove the optical bays and the harddrive cages for a full size 360 rad.
sorry for using random stores, but have not desided where to shop yet ;) anny idea? they have to send to norway
The parts I'm going to cool is:
i7 3820
gtx680
sabertooth x79

Then the question is, will this rad be enough to cool the system?

The fans i'm going to use is the noctua NF-F12 for the rad, and NF-S12B for the case fans.

I've allso been looking at the bitspower compression fittings (crome) but havent figured out what size of tubing im going to use, relly need som help there! I would like the tubing to be white, but have no idea what tubing to chooce,
i allso have no clue on what coolant to use, so need help with this too.

Thanks for answars, and as always sorry for my bad english ;)

Things will be seriously tight in that case. No chance of changing it?

If you can pull it off it will look really good.

The rad could probably do it, but dont expect massive overclocks on anything

I dont have anny plans for masive oc, so that will work just fine, will it do a big diffrense i i runn pull push?

Abaout the case, i you find a case that lokks like the r3 is about its size, and is noice dampned im willing to cange it :p and i now its going to be tight ;)

Anny idea what tubing to use, and what diamiter is the optimal for lowes temprature?

Use 1/2 inch barbs with 7/16th tubing for a tight fit so you dont have to use hose clamps.

The type of tubing is up to you really. Wont make that much difference as long as you're careful that it doesnt kink.

Push pull will make like 2 degrees difference so it really isnt worth the extra money and noise IMO, but again up to you.

The Corsair 550D may do a little better, and has silence, but not really sure. There are plenty of other options though

Hi,
That Rad is only 54mm thick and you have full bay size to use?
-- This being only Rad for those 3 block's i would go to "Alphacool monsta 360" (80 + 25 mm take mesure on you case), that aquatuning ships them and Tom reviewd them, so look on youtube.

I like to use clear 12mm ID (~15 OD) tube. Main comes cheap from locall, so you need to look on you ruber shops.

For coolant i use mixed from Aquacomputers. But my computer hasnt bean loong in same condition on any part, so you need others help on long use conditions.

Try to get all from one company and make a freands with them it may come handy in future conflicts...

I hope this helps! Skål, Mummy :)

Edit:
Use 1/2 inch barbs with 7/16th tubing for a tight fit so you dont have to use hose clamps.
Are they realy so ugly? ..Im from Fin and even i dont hate Swe hose clamps (joke ;) )!

But yes my rig aint for shows and ,... no no, even if it was i would use it to show that stuff that coms from me dont brake even if you beat it to ground.

OT: well i dont speak any language a well, but even so i would made some change of my last post on this topic.

But now my edit license of my own text is cone. I wonder why, to help people and bump up old topicks? Normaly not but im sure i hear this, as my head clears from "little saturday" and the forum wakes up.

if you want something sort of "r3 size", you could do worse than to look at the fractal arc midi as they have extra depth which gives better clearances

Thanks for anny answares,
to clear things up a bit, i don't own a R3, but i'm going to buy one verry soon, mainli its because i want to do something that not manny have done, and because i like the look of the R3, and ofcourse because of the lovely door sealing ut the front of the case, and because its noice dampned.
