Additional fans

Hey my cpu is 40'C when turning my pc on and motherboard round about 38'c.
I have two fans (intake 120mm in front and exhaust 80mm at the back).
I was wondering if I get 3 additional fans on the side because there's already vents if it would lower any temperature?
and what should the set-up be
*all 3 intake
*one on top exhaust and other 2 intake
*all 3 exhaust.

Any comments and suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Side fans are better known to disrupt airflow than assist.
Look into higher-flowing fans that fit your current locations.
If you insist on adding side fans, set them to exhaust.

This is all the advice I can give you based off a lot of personal flow testing and experimentation with my old Corsair 600T case.
