Acrylic Shavings

I was test fitting some compression fittings in my new XSPC dual bay res last night. The outlet went in fine, but when I tried the inlet, it hit a rough spot about half way in, and I noticed some acrylic shavings in the res. It's not cross threaded, the washer is compacted evenly all the way around. It felt like the thread cut was not perfect all the way down. Once I got pas the rough spot in the threads, it screwed in as normal.

Is this normal to get a burred thread in acrylic res, and the need to make sure they are flushed really good before using them?

You should flush kit yes matey - its the same with radiators

As longs as the shavings are not abnormal, then I won't worry, thanks.

Well, there may be one exception to that view, and that is where you are building multiple systems, for instance where it is a business that you have.

Even then it is only a "may" in my view.
