Acer announce their Predator X27 4K 144Hz HDR Ultra display

This panel but in a nice understated Dell Ultrasharp kind of styling with no lights and fancy lines and then they will have my money.

I think every company will end up getting your money at some point:D^_^

On a serious note. This is going to be uber effing expensive...

Not to mention small. When will these dopes get it? 27 / 28 is too damn small for 4K. How about some bigger options? Either way I wouldn't be buying that crap. Unless Nvidia drops the prices on their G-stink module, this will be silly expensive.

I'm guessing 4K will not just be the resolution for this, but the price-tag as well... That said, if it doesn't get developed, it can't drop in price either. So I'm curious to see when an affordable version will be available.

This will likely be way out of the reach of even most enthusiasts. Joker suggested that side-by-side with a SDR monitor HDR does indeed look significantly better, but the price, resolution, and size will be a problem for many enthusiasts. I don't want 4k because it's too hard to run. I don't want 27" 4k because text will be too small. I don't have £1000+ to spend.
