Acccelero Xtreme 7970 need help

Last month I got myself a after-market GPU cooler for my 7870XT, I need help on how to fit this cooler on my gpu I know how to fit the cooler to the gpu but where dos all the mini heat sinks and thermal tape go on it because the instructions is very vague on this.
And can I run the fans from the card itself or must I use my psu to power the fans

Thermal tape? I thought the little heatsinks had to be bonded on?

I dont think anyone here uses them because once you fit the little heatsinks you cant ever remove them if your need to RMA your card.

In the suppliers packaging you get mini sinks , tape and the glue
At this stage I am already having problems with my top card running extremely hot in my CM HAF case I am working on a new case that is a 750D and the two 7870 XT will be going in to that case.

it not really thermal tape they stick on them, it double sided tape from 3m, they dont get bonded so they can be removed, i have installed a fair few over my time,

When I used the Accelero Twin Turbo II on my old 4870, those mini heatsinks combined with the supllied adhesive (glue) would fit on the on board ram.

What I did was, located what points that were being cooled by the old (stock) heatsink and made sure that they are 'glued' with the mini heatsinks.

If they haven't changed the instructions, I believe it was something like press securely in place, hold it for a few seconds, then leave for 4hours.

Personally I think you have the option to use the adhesive or the tape...... dont use the tape.
