Still thinking its the best?

Also I need a firewall (software, my router provides a hardware) will the windows one suffice? Obviously I, like all people want to keep cost to a minimum so will nod32 coupled with adaware, spybot s&d, trend micro cw-shredder and ewido anti spyware keep me safe from the evil ghoulies that are spyware/adware/malware/trojans/virus etc. etc.

yes yes yes, although since starting my new job, we have been using sophos, which i think is pretty good. I love AV's that just sit there and do there job, unlike annoying ones like norton that bug you every 5 minutes to say some crap. o and the fact they dont catch most viral infections.

But nod32 is a top notch av, i would highly recommend it!

Yeah, they dont really check what machines it is on to be honest.

But deffo thumbs up for NOD32 - its about the only thing I consider worth paying for software wise.

coolio, jsut one question, which you may or may not answer...how do you know this? i may a couple of family members trial this for an extended amount of time

i used to work in a repair workshop with machines coming with 100's of viral infections (they mainly had norton on), we got rid of that installed nod32 and the ones we heard feedback from (100's of customers) said they loved it and there machine was still running in tip top .

I'm currently just constantly reinstalling the trial version. I may be losing out on a bit, but works fine for me :D What is the difference between the trial and the full anyways?

You dont have to constantly reinstall it....

I'm running the trial version right now after switching from Norton and omg what a difference. I just install it and let it do its thing. It's so quiet just sitting their in the background unlike stupid norton lol.

Does the reviewing of Nod32 enter within the realms of OC3D`s spectrum ?

Hmm could do I spose, though I dunno if I'd be prepared to install something like Norton for a comparison!!

Thats suicide tbh. Avast, AVG and ZAs antivirus may not be bad though?

Actually you do, cause for one thing it won't update, and for another, once I restart my comp it doesn't start and will refuse to start.

He was answering your question about the difference between the trial version and the full version, he means you don't have to constantly reinstall the full version :p

NOD32 appears to be good at catching the larger more threatening virus' but doesnt seem to filter out all the little advertising ones you can get. Mine let several trojans in which in turn downloaded a bunch of other things that were going to town on my PC while NOD32 just sort of sat there scanning and turning up nothing :( Spybot worked the best on the scanning front for me
