Abit Class Action Lawsuit

I can't dig up any information on this but today I received an email that we had taken on a new UPS Corporate Account for Abit and some place called Lawler Marketing or some crap.

The email vaguely stated that people would be bringing in Abit motherboards for return due to some class action lawsuit regarding this Lawler place.

If anyone has any more information I'd love to know about it. A brief google search didnt turn anything up on the first page of any importance and I didnt really bother to look any deeper.

Just thought I'd bring it up in case anyone knew more than myself about this subject.

I wonder if its anything like their last lawsuit where they were putting dirt cheap capacitors on the boards. When they got found out, they were forced to recall about 4 different models of their boards.

I dont understand why putting dirt cheap capacitors would be breaking the law? Surly that goes down to economies of scale (or somthing like that, long time since GCSE economics). We're they sub-standard or somthing?

dirt cheap capicators on something like a mobo is not a good thing i would imagine.

its a very vital and important part of a pc,you wouldnt like your mobo to have cheap azz capicators would ya? i know i wouldnt:)

I get that normaly cheap=crap yeah. But I don't see why they wouldn't be able to use them if they wanted. Enless they were advertizing the boards as top knotch.
