A question about PSU

Hi all!

I am not very good when it comes to PSU's, so I have question. I'm ordering a new graphics card this month, Asus GTX 560 Ti DirectCU II TOP and I'm just making sure my PSU can handle it, my current rig: (everything just incase)

Corsair CX500

Intel core i5 2500k @ 3.3ghz

Palit GeForce GT240

WD Caviar Black 1TB

Antec 300 (1x140mm fan, 1x120mm fan and 2x 120mm CM Sickleflow blue LED)

AsRock H61DE/S3

CD+DVD drive

4GB Corsair 1333mhz ram

(Noctua NH-D14 coming soon too)

And if u need some extra info, feel free to ask.

Sincerely, Zanc.

EDIT. Ignore the talk about OC. Ty everybody who helped!

just a question bud but um why did you buy a very overclockable cpu and a non overclockable motherboard? I could of sworn the h61s didnt support overclocking?

It does support overclocking and i'm not that much into overclocking, so it does get the job done for me.

3.3ghz is what the i5-2500 default speeds are, so the OC isn't there for those who are confused.

Also for the PSU, 500w is fine for a single card set up. 450w is even enough.

minimum recommended for a 560ti is 500watts I would be wary of saying 450 is enough. While it might be (if you want to run at full load) enough I would never recommend to anyone to go under the recommended specs.

It's fine, honestly. I know a load of people who run such cards on 450w PSUs, so it's not a complete myth. All depends on which 560ti you get as well.

oh I dont doubt it'll run it at all. Its just it makes it close to full load on the psu thereby ramping it up (noisier lol)
