a posible...intel...

yes, i get to cut myself on your cheapass case, electrocute myself on your dodgy psu's work in a badly ventilated, dim, crowded worlspace all day...you sir, are a cruel work partner

Well if you aint got anything else to spend you cash on...

But I would say improve the performance of your own system first...maybe a new mobo....

I am thinking hard about getting an Intel shuttle to run as a media PC for when I get my flat :D

if you know of anywhere cheaper i could get em....

and does no1 have an opinion of the case...?

You know my opinion mate...I would get the Tekheads one...

I would still get better RAM that that POS stuff you have at the minute...

Whats the point of a nice P4 if you don't give it any RAM to work with at all? It would be a lot slower than your main rig :nono:

does DDR2 show a speed difference to ddr?

not really right now because of timings and stuff. ddr2 is better because it can reach higher clocks but for now timings have to be improved.

a DDR1 400mhz ram is equivalent to DDR2 533mhz ;)

Really? Well, I guess, because of the lower latencies...but I think it was enVias that said the Intel's really take advantage of DDR2 technology.

Nah, they give about the same performance atm

if i got DDR2 tho it would be more up to date...however it would cost more...but save me more in the long run...

@Eguy thnaks for the offer...i've added you on msn we can talk bout it on there
