a massive thank you

Right... liver damage is quite enjoyable I am sure, as is throat and stomach cancer... dead is dead, like the saying goes, 'name your poison'.

In that case let me ask you this, do any bars serve cyanide

Sorry let me rephrase that, is any person in the right mind going to offer their benefactor cyanide, starting to think your original post was actually serious. Either way my point was that it can be enjoyed, whereas cyanide on the other hand... nvm can be enjoyed by some.

I HAVE fun at parties, I just don't need to rely on artificial means to do so. :)

Having fun is better than being fun.

That's a very interesting way of thinking. I wouldn't say drinking is an artificial way of having fun as its not just the drink part that makes it fun, but also the actual activity of drinking with a bunch of mates.

You could also get hit by a bus when crossing the street tomorrow - don't be so dramatic.

If you don't want to drink then that's your choice and I respect that, but please don't be that guy trying to force his own beliefs onto others.

On topic: Nice card Tripp! :) Good guy Excalibur definitely deserves that beer ;)

Ever try being with a bunch of mates and not drinking, it's fun too. :)

I never do, nor would I want to. Just a bad idea to try to make someone drink a beer because you appreciate what he did for you. Now if he asked for a beer, that's different. I am done here, carry on as you were.

Look a celebration between grown men will typically include drinks, though it is obviously up to the individuals themselves. Fact is that the OP opened this thread to celebrate and give credit to their benefactor (Excalibur), it is but a token of appreciation that is being extended out of courtesy.

The fact is that it is just an expression, you cannot possibly know what the perfect gift is unless you actually know the recipient first hand. This is unless of course you know what to replace that drink with as thanks. Now why would you give your benefactor cyanide again?

Tripp is by all accounts a nice bloke why come along and trash a thank you thread...

Well this is getting.....Interesting, As it happens i don't mind a beer every now and then but I generally sit down with a nice glass of Cab Sav either way I think it's totally awesome of Tripp to offer something in the first place to me it's his gesture that speaks volumes of him

Well let me know how much a bottle of the wine you like to drink costs buddy :D

Can we leave the "straight edge no alcohol for me and I'm going to tell everyone it's stupid" faggotry at the door please?

It's commonplace to offer someone who's done you a solid favour like this an alcoholic beverage.

If that's not your thing, fine.. but don't be 'that guy' and start a game of spot the fucking Vegan.
