8Pin CPU power Extension cable

hey guys got a question for you. I got a 8pin (4+4pin) extenion cable for cpu power and i want to use it with the 8pin on a ax850 but the 4 of the holes the ax850 cable are different to those on the extension cable.

I tried connecting both cables together and they fit fine but concern is will be ok to use it?

You are sure it's cpu power and not PCIE arent you?

is he saying 4 pins wouldnt fit i on their own, now he's put them together and it fits? I dont understand where the confusion is?

Yup im sure, the packaging says 4+4pin cpu extension

Here's what i mean:

CPU 8pin Extension cable

AX850 CPU 8pin cable

The 4 pins in the green box on both pics are the same, they match but the other set of 4 pins don't however when connected them together they fit without a fuss
