For those of you that have read my rants and raves, you know I had a defective 8800GTS...
Silly me. I got a new one from Newegg.com, and the same things happened again. Doesn't take a genius to realize that this wasn't coincidence, so upon further investigation I found that people were having various problems with different monitors, mostly big screened monitors like Apple's Cinema or other HDTV's (I have a 26" RCA HDTV that I use as a monitor for my PC and watch football on Sunday's) (TV shows suck nowadays, nothing like Knight Rider or The A-Team anymore...). Having hooked up my trusty 2 1/2 year old Samsung 17" (8ms, cost me an arm and my first-born back in the day) everything was hunky-dory.
I've seen a BIOS fix that apparently corrects this deficiency, so when I find it (again) I'll see if it works and report back.
