Should we have "relfex" team kills on the server???

Right me and nepas were talking today while on the server about the silly amount of nades and gl so I decided to ask the guys if they wouldn't mind if I put TK on for a map or two.

Now Im not joking the amount of spamming of grenades dropped almost instantly I had it set to around a 15 second delay on team kills which I don't think is to bad.

I then let them have a couple of rounds without team kills and the spamming went up again.

Now I put Team-kills on after but just to the shooter I believe this is called "Reflex" and it seems to have made a huge difference just the occasional person moaning about air strikes but nothing else.

So does anyone else have a problem with reflex been on most of the guys on the server were quite for it and as long as you don't spam nades and check your fire its not to bad, Ive since left FF off altogether untill everyone else has ahd there say.
 
it certainly made a difference and as soon as it went on the main culprits for nade spamming went straight of,which made it better for everyone else
 
I agree, I was fed up watching how i died to nade spamming, the only thing is sometimes a well placed grenade is an art, but not when it is just thrown into "anywhere"
 
was interesting to notice how nobody was scoring 1000+ with it on,just shows how many people were nade spamming.The funniest thing was watching someone get sniped who had Martydom(needless to say his team werent happy)

also i think the .86 needs a reboot all the pings are screwed - lags every now and again too
 
The FF on reflect is a great thing and you should put about 10-15 seconds wait time for killing a friendly (actually for killing yourself while shooting at a friendly ) I really got tired of all the nades flying around! Ppl with no skill throw 3 nades than have marty and they easily get 5 kills than AS and so on, and so on....
 
Going to give this a few more days for people to see the thread then Ill put it live on the server and work out the niggles as the times are a tad off like when I set it to 15 seconds people were waiting 45 seconds (server went dead) but so far it look sto be ok.:worship:
 
Excellent. This was my main problem with the server.

It seemed to be spawn, get naded, wait, spawn, get naded, wait, etc...
 
it certainly makes a difference,Although it can be a bit of a bugger as well,twice last night as I lined up to snipe across the map with the .50 my teamates came across my sights just as I pressed the trigger............instant death for me :o:o lol,cant believe it happened twice in less than 3 mins either:D
 
Personally the best I have found is to use the "Shared" option for TK damage.

This means that people dont run infront of your muzzle and also that the nade spammers get a nice hit too.

Thats my honest opinion (if sharing tk damage is an option)
 
"accidentally" did this the other day after the server was reset, tbh don't think anyone noticed apart from when I set it to a 5 min wait for tk.

It got ugly then.:yumyum:
 
Im note sure what "reflex" team kills are but if that is what you use now, its pretty useless.

Youre doing this all wrong. Theres too many noobs on your servers for this to work. 30-40% of the players always have martyrdom or grenade launcher. If theres anything more annoying than getting killed by a dead enemy, its getting killed by a noob team mate. Or getting killed because a team mate decides to jump up right in front of you when youre trying to kill an enemy..

Remove 3xfrag grenade perk, remove Friendly Fire, remove grenade launcher.

And add some anti-cheat to the .86 server. more and more cheaters go there now. The annoying kind that constantly spam random votes to avoid getting kicked themself, and constantly change name.
 
We've been here before with the noobs and nades and as jim said before if we remove the nades and launchers the server becomes unranked which I can live with but others cant.:(
 
I think we should

Change the FF so that only the attacking team-mate gets damaged and the other guy (innocent) does not

We should punkbuster BOTH servers as hacking is still a as high as ever =/

Name changing hackers make it difficult for admins too (but you can match their number/score up in the admin tool)

Turn off kicking as there has been a lot of pointless kicking going on and instead have a contact admin thingy

So, FF only affects the attacker, PB on both servers (they should all have a legal copy by now) and votekicking off imo
 
Yeah enable PB on #2.

Im still against friendly fire but if its possible to do as mrapoc says then thats better than what you have now at least. But keep FF off @ #2!
