7970ghz to R9 290/HD 7990 worth the upgrade??

There is rumors that the big Nvidia card might drop next week. If that's the case, either AMD is getting ready to launch, or we are going to see some major price cuts. You might want to wait just a little bit.

Now the GTX 970 3.5GB Fiasco has come up....
ILLUMINATI CONFIRMED.

I know pretty full well now the R9 290 option is just the way to go, even more so cause of my monitor which would prefer the 4GB of the 290 over the Horsepower of the 7990 (Dell Ultrasharp U2412M)

Though again on the vram question, in 3-4 years i might fancy going quad monitor (3x 1366X768 + 1x 1920X1200), 4GB enough to suffice baring in mind skyrim mods and everything else.

well ****

Apparently the R9 doesnt support analog signal and the 2 other monitors i have are VGA, so apparently i need an active adapter?

would this work?

ethier that or can i just get like a HD 5450 and use it for both the monitors since it wont be gaming :]. So the 290 would be dedicated to all the stuff on the U2412M and for the 2 acer 1366 monitors would have like the 5450 or such on.
