7950GT (256 or 512) or ???

Hi all,

Im considering a 7950GT for my new build, either 256 or 512, proberbly 512 leadtek card if i can afford it!

Is this a good card? i.e. no "issues" with it? e.g. IQ good etc lol?

if im not mistaken unless the 512 mb card is within a £10 difference of the 256 mb version, im not sure it would be worth it. You will only see a very minimal difference in performance between 512 and 256 unless certain applications require a bigger amount.

If its only a 10 buck difference then what does it matter? More bang for the buck. I have the XFX 7950GT Extreme(512mb) and its really an awesome card.

Don't forget they're in the UK, so it's more like $20, but still, that's pretty close

Definitely worth splashing your cash on mate if you're not looking for a DX10 card. 512 all the way

Looking at the Sparkle P795+ card (7950GT 512) or a Inno3d one. Anyone know about the sparkle one? it looks quite good (high factory OC, attractive price etc)

Vista when a Service pack is released and things in general "work better" (or just work) with it!

Im not going ATI as my last computer had a X1800XT 512mb, and, it was less than stable. Not the card, but the ATI drivers. Seriously, why does anyone put up with them!!?!?
