7950 bad fps

Well it sure is known for that, but for a 95W max TDP it gets pretty hot with a decent watercooler like yours. I am surprised.

it's definitely the cpu holding it back. whenever the cpu load goes up to 90-100% the gpu load drops to ~50% and the fps turn terrible.

I think next target buy a new CPU motherboard and power surpply, I went from a AMD phenom x6 1090t black edition and a Crosshair v Formula to be honest some games played good no lag eg frame drop But most games ran terrible I played all games ultra everything maxed out sync off as always- I upgraded to a i7 3770k CPU and a MSI Z77 mpower motherboard Games play amazing know joke I just wanted the best gaming experience so I went with Intel as they say gaming go with intel.
I had a good power supply so didn't need to update anything els just two components.
Rig specs
i7 3770K- AMD phenom x6 1090t
MSI mpower z77- Crosshair v Formula
Asus GTX680
16gb ram Ripjaws 1600MHz
H100 with SP120 Fans on them 2350 rpm Quiet Edition
HX850W power supply From Corsair
600T White Edition all fans in case are the SP120 and 140mm at the front
I think it is the CPU which is letting you down or the ram

You got a pretty nice and powerful machine there. I have a question. Is there any different after upgrading from the Phenom to the Intel platform? And if yes, how much, and explain please.:)
