7900GTX Volt modded single Card results!!

Not the single card expert and the 2nd SLI was still installed and enabled in BIOS.

No excuses that GT is working well - using the pen mod, clocks can be pretty impressive on those beauties.

Good job Pinto mate.

wow, ATI really have got the jump on Nvidia in single card 05 havent they.

06 kinda fixes that tho lol

Tom

Yeah ATI have the edge in yesterdays games ;) Only joking, for whatever reason 05 rocks on the X1900's - hence why I am in a lowly 16th in the world rankings on that test :(

thanks Mav taking you with my sli is actually impossible my 60 is too slow...

i use a zalman vf900 on the gt guys.

We all have the same problem - SLI 7900GTX is CPU limited, even at 3.4ghz :(

The GT is air cooled????!!!???

These GT's run cool as hell, gained virtually nothing temps wise going from Air -> water on this one (in fact it actually idles HIGHER now than under air) Load temps are similar too, never saw this card above ~ 45 load and thats at 555 core, 920 mhz mem.

Hmmm very nice rig i have to say, and I also think 2 of these may be on the cards (no puns intended) for me then.

The only problem you might have is when you get urself a stronger CPU, or that FX55 up to ludicrous speeds - a 7900GTX will continue to stretch it's legs - that is to say will only get faster, the GT will peak much sooner (if it hasn't already).

Mav

Oh it's so tempting :(

mav, if you CPU limited I doub't I will be as I can unleash more on this FX55 than u probably ever could on your FX60 (3.6ghz-3.8ghz).

The GTX's are WAY outa my price range atm but want a 2nd set of cards incase I kill 1 of my GTX's on phase when it goes live ;) The 7900GT's seem like a pretty good choice if these are doing as well as this.

Is there a BIOS out there that will kill the bloody thermal throttling or has that issue been sorted aswell?
