7870 or 7950?

I little update to this thread, I found a reference gtx 670 for the same price as the 7950 that was planning on getting (MSi Twin Frozr version, scrapped the 7870). I'm assuming this is a no brainer, but I'm open to opinions.

Reference does mean that it will be a bit hotter and noisier as compared to a custom version. However, if you are not bothered by those little issues, it should be a good performer.

Overclocked @1080p a 7950 is roughly the same as an overclocked 670

I would get the custom cooled 7950 because the reference 670 has a really annoying sound to it.

Even though you have said the 7870 is off the table I thought I may as well still post this. I love my two MSI R7870 HAWK cards. They perform great in CFX.
