Hi guys im new here so if you can please help me out and i will give you guys any info you may need. I jsut recently bought a 7800GSOC AGP. when im playing any game i dosent matter if its sims 2 guild wars WOW or fable i get black lines that will shoot across the screen they just jump all over the place. I did not overclock this card anymore then it already is from BFG. the power supply is 600w but i dont know if you need more then just a 600w psu. any ideas????

What kind of temperatures are you getting on it? Also make sure the cable is plugged in nice and tight / isn't faulty.

And check in your bios that your AGP slot is set to x8 and re-seat the card.

Oh and make sure you're using the right drivers from Nvidias site.

That's me out of ideas for now sorry :)

i have the latest driver from nvidia i thought it was that at first cuz the one on the cd is out of date the temp's i get from it i checked it before i left for work was 43 44...where under the bios would i do that?

Depends entirely on your motherboard sorry, just have a really good look around and check everything that is set to 'automatic'. Download RivaTuner and run the temp monitor while youre playing a game, then exit the game and see what the temps peak at while youre playing.

i have an XFX 7800 GS and it sometimes peaks at 76 and i dont have any probs doubt its the temp thats is messing things up

do you guys think its a bad video card? also when im playing games the sound tends to skip every so often could that be because of the video card? im using the onboard sound.

What's the date of your DirectX? There's a Feb 2007 release on the MS website. Also check out the "AGP Fastwrites" in the BIOS. If it's enabled try disabling it and see how you get on. I believe some nVidia cards don't like fastwrites enabled, does nothing for performance anyway.
