780 ti sc 144hz

Theoretically, on BF4 can the EVGA 780 TI pull off 144hz on highest settings?

If you go to YouTube and search for "EVGA 780 Ti Superclocked Battlefield 4" you'll literally get a few videos showing the FPS this card gets in said game.

Long story short: I skipped through 3 videos and the card seemed to do between 70 and 100 FPS in multiplayer maps.

Thank you, should be alright..

If you have a 144hz monitor, I would say you should generally disable v-sync. Tearing is supposed to happen less often on higher refresh rates.

So even if you have 70-100fps, it should be still better then the max 60 frames (60hz physically can't display more than 60 "frames") on a 60hz monitor.

So you would still benefit from the higher refresh rate even if you don't get the the full 144fps.

What he said! :) But you would still probably need two cards to get the full 144hz experience

wow god damnit, Gaming @ full potential gets expensive.. Jeeeez

This is the whole reason I got the 1ms 144hz monitor. Maybe I can get 144fps on medium or something..

Do they make 120 hz IPS panel monitors? The main problem I have ith this one, is the colors and vieing angles suck as it is a shitty TN panel

No IPS/PLS/AH-IPS or similar panels will go above 60hz without overclocking the Panel refresh rate. While very very few will get over 100hz it can be done at the cost of color accuracy/panel life/ and overall lower picture quality. I don't recommend it but few on the forums have done it.

you could drop you aa down a notch to give you a little less stress on your card. with out sacrificing some of the other game beauty.

Good point.. If I don't upgrade my MOBO to pci 3.0, how big of a performace hit am I going to take with a 780ti on meh 2.0/

144 fps on that mess of a game that is Battlefield 4? Maybe on single player but not multiplayer, especially on a full 64 player server. You will most likely be CPU-limited a lot of the time (if you're using Mantle it'll be less of a problem). Such is the case in just about any game with so many players.

Speak for yourself I can get very high fps @1600p without mantle.

Having said that you are right about BF4 being a mess.
