7.1 issues on x-fi titanium fatal1ty champion

Hi guys,

I have x-fi titanium fatal1ty champion series with Creative Gigaworks S750 7.1.

When I am testing the speakers in the Volume panel, from, rear, sides they all work fine. When I am playing movies in 5.1 everything is fine too.

The problem I am having is when I switch in Power DVD and in the Volume panel to 7.1, the sound on the rears moves to the sides and nothing plays on the rear speakers. All 7 speakers should be playing.

Years ago I had older model Creative sound card with 7.1 support and under XP I was able to watch 7.1 movies. I couldn't get it working 7.1 under Windows 7.

Also, I can play music on all seven speakers. The problem is when trying to play movies, movies that do support 7.1.

Any suggestions?

have you actually got the version of power dvd that has 7.1 support. their licensing is nasty for this.

If it's the software that came with the drive you will need to purchase an extra license to get 7.1

Hi, thank you for your reply!

Yes, I do have the Ultra version which supports 7.1 . Have also tried with couple of other players. I believe the problem is with Windows, was wondering if anyone else uses this combination. X-Fi plus Creative S750 speakers ...

Edit:

Hi again, believe it or not I just installed Power DVD 13 Ultra and everything works! There must have been an issue with Power DVD 11 and 12 ...

Thanks for the suggestion. Best Regards.

Blu-ray 7.1 Rocks
