6950 Crysis 2 - DirectX11 + High res texture pack

Best get a single beefy card. Not very familiar with SLI or Crossfire but i've heard there can be some issues.

I play the game on 1920x1080 with a 580, its a gigabyte oc'd version however, with the dx 11 upgrade packs it still runs really really well. Not sure on the FPS though, is there a console command to check it on this game or do i need something like fraps??

Just use Fraps, Afterburner, or even use the Adrenaline Crysis 2 Benchmark Tool. You should be getting around 50s average (actually are you running the hi-res textures too?), maybe a sub-30 from time to time

Yeah i am running both dx11 upgrade packs, i checked it out i am getting pretty consistent 50-60fps. I haven't seen it drop under 50 even on heavier load.

I have got it running a core clock of 930 however.

Not bad

I was just wondering because I have a 6850 which is just as powerful as a 460, I know what performance to expect in Crysis 2 with DX11 and high res textures now.

Pass the joint...

At last check a 6850 wasn't as fast as a 5850. Then when you consider that a 460 1gb is up there (pre overclock) with a 5850 then I think you have your sums wrong man.

The 5850 is not that much faster than a 6850 to be fair.

5850 vs 6850

Obviously with an overclock the 460 would be faster but if the 6850 was overclocked as well then they would be around the same.
