6870 crossfire

I have 1 xfx 6870 black which is factory overclocked and i am thinking of getting another one. But a regular 6870 is so cheap these days i was thinking about getting one of those. Will these cards work together or will i have to do something to one of the cards to make them work together.

you'll be fine. just make sure you have a big enough PSU.

Will it do that on its own or do i have to down clock the faster card

Thanks guy for all the help, just wanted to know for when i update my computer near the end of the year. Theres no point in me getting a completely different card if two 6870 are pretty good.

you will be fine but bare in mind that the card that is clocked the highest will clock itself down to the lowest card`s speed!

unless you can overclock the other card to match the top one. overdrive should do it, never done it though ive always got identical cards.
