Hi guys,
in my build recently you may have seen that im planning to use 670's for it. However, Since i found out i won the Scan competition on Hexus, and one of the prizes included is a XFX 7970, was wondering, for gaming 3 screens at 1080, which will be better in the long run, 2x 670 or 2x 7970?
Looking to get my build finished for the end of January and ordering all the WC in one hit, so quick feedback is apprieciated!

Not much in it either way in terms of performance. But if your already going to be getting a 7970 I would go with the two 7970's.

GTX670's.

AMD cards are riddled with driver issues when it comes to multiple monitors. Check around various forums and youll see endless complaints about them. They work pretty well when its just a single card and single monitor but when youre talking multiple GPU's and multiple monitors, youre better off with Nvidia drivers as theyre more refined at this time......well for the last forever actually.

anymore input on this?
just to re-iterate, i have one of each card atm,
never had an ATI card, hence why im asking for advice!

If your watercooling and overclocking then I would say go with the 7970's. But which ever way you decided to go i doubt you'll be disappointed.

For 3 screens I would definetly go SLI with Nvidia. Thier adaptive vsync is fantastic no tearng or microshutter, Which in my experience are issues with AMD in eyefinity. I just ordered a GTX 680 for these reasons currently running a 7970oc. I have 2 friends just made the same move and the differnce is great. The 7970 was my first AMD card in years and likely to be my last.

ok guys last knocking on the cards, ordering on the 28th!
leaning towards the 7970s at the mo, mainly for the 3gb vram for the multiscreen!

Id say go 7970s as I own them myself. I cant say anything for eyefinity though, but preformance wise its an easy pick
