660ti With a 400w PSU ?

i really need to know if it is possible to run a gtx 650 ti on a 400w power supply, i know the nvidia site says minimum of 450 but is there any way i can do it ?

It's not so much the wattage as it is the quality. If it's a no-name generic 400w it's a definite no. Still, they list minimum requirements for a reason.
 
mins are listed for a reason mate. plus if you have alot of other stuff or overclock it you'll most likely need more.
 
Is the rest of the system pretty low end and stock? I think the worst that will happen is the system won't be stable and/or may not even boot. We really can't say it will work or not for certain, all you can do is try. My recommendation though would be to upgrade the power supply.

- everything is tock clocks, 8gb ram, 1tb hdd, and i5 2400

btw as i didnt build the pc, is it easy to replace a power supply and is there anything i should do to stop cocking anything up ?
