650w enough?

As the topic title and description says will 650w be enough for a 560GTX-Ti and a 9800GT as a PhysX card?

I was looking at getting a Corsair, either between the TX650 (V2) or the HX650. As a perk I was gearing more towards the modular, 7-year warranty supply but the TX seems pretty decent still.

Thoughts please!

A good one, yes.

TX and HX will do it with their eyes closed. Stepster had three 460s OC and a 920 @ 4ghz and a pile of high current Deltas on his folding 24/7 on a TX 750.

So on 650 it should be more than enough? I had a look into the PSU calculator, said I'd need about 504W'ish so I'd thought 650W would be suitable.

Now.. should I go for the HX or the newer TX model? Bare in mind the TX only has a 5 year warranty and is non-modular as opposed to the HX which is older but has a 7 year warranty and is semi-modular.

Darn, should have set up a poll...

Get the HX they are silver rated, the TX are bronze plus you get the extra two years warranty with the HX.

Calculate your system draw. If it exceeds over 85% of what the PSU is rated at then you need a bigger one.

However, that applies to a top branded PSU with a very powerful rail and should never be applied to a cackapoopa

Ed. TX = HX. Sort of. When the insides are made those that don't pass the higher 80+ are simply put into the casing and sold as TX. That's how it used to be any way. Modular PSUs are nice, but if your case has plenty of places to hide wires then it's a mute point really.
