640x480 support ?

Hi, A while back I decide to give starwars knights of the old republic another run through, however I am experiencing crash to desktop just as the bink movie cut scenes try to play, I have spent months looking for a fix, there are plenty of forums and web pages about this but nothing works, I even used rad tools to convert all the games movies to my resolution 2560x1600, yet still doesn't work, however there are many webpages that state enabling 640x480 support in your video drivers resolves this ?

So, my question is, how do I enable 640x480 support in my video drivers ? (using latest AMD driver as usual)

Go to screen res (right clicky on desktop)
Clicky on Advanced Settings
Clicky Monitor Tab
Tick box that says "Hide Modes That This Monitor Cannot Display"

that should enable all screen res modes.

update: ok it didn't work but here's what I noticed, I checked "hide modes" box, clicked apply & ok, like you said, ran the game and it crashed, then I went back to screen res/monitor tab and it had unchecked itself, So I tested it by checking the box again apply/ok then exit, then went back and it was still checked, so that means that something related to the game is resetting it, any ideas ?
