64-bit Drivers for the Mach II

Hi, I am new to the forum but not new to using these wonderful devices. I have already spoken with Phil on this matter however, just curious if any one else had heard of some one possibly making custom 64-bit drivers for the Controller board on the Prometeia's. If any one has heard any thing and wants to share that would be great. Not a huge deal if any one hasn't I still am able to use my promy stable and supercool :B lol.

I tried using the flagged xp driver .ini switch for xp64 and it was a no go. The driver looks as if it is deffinately only a 32bit system cab file so I dunno. I emailed ECT about it and am awaiting a response on the availability to the source code for the driver and software.

[Sorry for the double posting, Just wanted those who are keeping track of the driver situation to be updated :-)]

Now I am waiting for him to hopefully get into contact with the old company in order to get the source. Every one who is waiting cross your fingers ^^

I got a reply saying this on Aug. 14th.

"I'm at the moment trying to get a hold in the old software from our supplier, but the problem is that they have went bankrupt so the new software / driver the had promised to make for us is not made and we don't have the "GNU license" but I'm trying to get it and when I have it I'll be pleased to send it for you and if you can make it and it will be on a site where other user can download it from it will be even better."

Hi, I have spoken with some people at extremeprometeia.com about this

but I finally tracked down this email by searching around. I am not

completely sure how the extremeprometeia site and yours are

affiliated, be it the same company or two separate entities. I am,

merely, interested in obtaining a 64-bit driver for the Prometeia Mach

II control center. I was wondering if it would be possible to obtain

this from some where already or if it is in the works. If the last too

options aren't available would there be any chance of the drivers and

software being released under the GNU license so I would be able to

code this myself. I by no means want compensation for this and would

gladly send you back the new revisions and working source of a driver

and software for x64, and possibly vista if I were to find the time. I

understand that the units do indeed function with out these features,

seeing that I am using one as I write this. However, I would like to

get the full potential out of this unit and be able to use all the

features that were included in this system. If you could just write me

back on the possibilities of any of these options that would be great.

Thank you, ~Daniel Peebles~

Sounds promising, would be great to run on something other than xp.

still waiting :-)

I agree, it does sound promising however I still have yet to get a reply. It's understandable seeing that the company has changed hands so many times. So I will let you all know when they track down the code and I start working on them. :D

Hope replenished...

The person who I have been communicating with via e-mail for a little while now wrote me back for an update about the drivers. He is hopefully going to be hearing back from a Lawyer about the matter of the coding. So every one who's interested cross your fingers!!

I am very interested in the outcome of this. I want drivers for my Vista X64. This is the only thing preventing me from completely moving over from XP. Right now I am dual booting and will have to continue doing so until we get a X64 driver.

Thank you for taking the initiative in trying to track all this down and KEEP US POSTED! :)

Well, due to a major outage of Interenet in my area I have been unable to keep pressing but maybe that is a good thing. Let things set for a little bit. I plan on mailing the contact in the next couple of days from an internet cafe. I'll keep every one posted. Thanks ~Danny~

Actually I never have heard any thing back I've kinda had other prior obligations and haven't checked with them in quite some time. Not too sure really where to go from here but it looks like it prolly isn't going to happen. Don't lose hope though some day surely there will be help for us x64 users :-(

Are we to consider this a dead issue? I hope not, you were our only hope! Please keep trying. I can't fully eliminate xp until we have a 64 Bit Mach II Driver! :)
