Yes your PSU will cope with a single 7970 easily. BF3 has always been and will always be riddled with bugs and crash problems. My bet is that it's not a problem with your system or any of the drivers, but BF3 itself. Just head over to the battlelog forums and see for yourself.

£15 650w psu 26/28 Amp, corsair TX650 52 Amp single rail

550w is enough for any single high end GPU, but it's got to be of high quality

He does say Silverstone 630w PSU...

Silverstone are a good enough brand, so it should be fine...although after a bit of googling, Silverstone don't even make a 630w power supply so I'm not too sure...?

630w says nothing about the AMP delivery.

If its a cheap shitty one is might be a bit weak.
This is the correct reply !
a cheaps ass 630w i would never trust (LOL see what i did there)..

A "corsair"(brand name) on the other hand , would be more then fine !
"Silverstone" i have NO idea TBH ...

EDIT/ Checked their site, and it seems good but i have NO personal experience with them whatsoever...

Ray.....

for gpu alone a good 630 would be fine but if you add 4ghz cpu, 2 hdds and upto 4 dimms(depending on config) that is pushing it to the limit.

bc2 and now bf3 have always been great real life benches to me, they always push the hardware to the very limit even past many benches so even if you are prime stable, that might not be true when you play bf3 for an hour or so.

can you post the picture or amp ratings? can be found on the side of the psu

Umm... I had a problem when I had a PSU that had the minimum amout of power for my graphics card... but lower Amps than the Card required.. so it crashed randomly. I got a more powerful and higher Amps PSU and I never had that problem again. Amps people Amps, not always watts!

Well I have 2 friends running overclocked 3570ks with overclocked 7950s, and both of their systems run absolutely fine on a 500w Silverstone Strider.

I've seen a 670 and a 3570K running on a 450W Silverstone SFX Form factor 80+ Gold PSU without issuess, so it is possible, you just probably need to get high quality stuff for it to be possible.
